Mental Health Counseling for Relationship Issues
Humans are complicated.
Wondering if you want to stay in your current relationship and getting conflicting messages from yourself and others? Frequently arguing with your mother about how she speaks to you? Biting your tongue so you don’t chew out your daughter after she didn’t put away her laundry AGAIN? These are all examples of the issues we can have in our normal, everyday relationships.
Relationships are the fabric of our lives. We are often defined by whose child, parent, spouse, or sibling we are. It’s common to struggle with communication, wonder if a relationship is worth continuing, or want to work on understanding yourself more in order to improve relationship quality.
Because they’re so important to our lives, treating our relationships with respect and care is essential. In counseling for relationship issues, we can work on anything from exploring the pros and cons of divorce, to discussing boundaries and communication strategies, to grieving the end of a relationship with a spouse, partner, friend, or family member.
