Mental Health Counseling for Anxiety and Stress Management

Constantly questioning “what if” and wondering if the person next to you is judging you? Do you lay awake at night and think of 47 ways you could have handled that conversation differently? Maybe you’re just “stressed” and always worrying about what could go wrong. If this is you, you might benefit from counseling tailored to anxiety.

Anxiety actually refers to multiple mental health diagnoses, but the common theme is worry: an excessive amount. Worry is not a bad thing, right? Worrying helps us avoid mistakes and can be a powerful tool for growth and achievement. In therapy with me, we figure out how to distinguish between helpful and unhelpful worry, before learning how to wield worry in a helpful manner and cope with the leftovers.

Worry, stress, and anxiety can all be useful, but also can take over our lives. Therapy for anxiety looks like examining the anxious thoughts we have, replacing the ones we can, and learning to cope with the ones we can’t replace. It’s not about dismissing your concerns, it’s about building up your confidence and self love.

Overthinking is a bitch.
