Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in a counseling session?

After an initial consultation, we will set up a client profile and portal, which will allow you to complete paperwork, schedule sessions, and communicate with me. In the first session we have, we will get to know each other and will be focused on information gathering. In future sessions, we would discuss your goals and how to reach them.

How much does therapy cost?

I accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the NC State Health Plan. My out of pocket rates are $150 for an intake and $125 for following sessions. I have limited reduced fees spots. I accept debit, credit, or HSA cards for payment.

Where are you located?

Currently, I hold only virtual sessions, which are available to those in North Carolina and South Carolina.

What is the therapy process like?

After an initial session, we will discuss goals for counseling, which can include items like managing anxiety, finding purpose, or reducing loneliness. Then we will use our sessions to make progress toward those goals, as well as make plans for outside of sessions for you to continue your work. Some people attend counseling for a limited time to address a particular problem, while others attend for longer periods of time to encourage self growth.
